Macronutrients

Macronutrients:

The nutrients needed by plants in large amounts are called macro-nutrients. These are carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulphur. Among the nine macro-nutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are needed in greater amounts than the others. These three are called primary nutrients.
